Help

Quick answers about patterns, crochet mode, the AI designer and your account.

Patterns

  • Are the patterns free?

Yes. Every pattern in the catalog is free to read, print and crochet.

  • Which crochet terms do the patterns use?

US terms: sc (single crochet), inc, dec, MR (magic ring). Every pattern has an abbreviations table, and the Pattern tab switches between English and Russian.

  • What does (24) at the end of a round mean?

The number of stitches you should have when the round is done. If your count is different, recount the round before moving on.

  • How much yarn do I need?

The Materials tab lists every colour with its length in metres, counted from the stitches plus sewing tails and a margin. Use the yarn weight and hook size given there to get the stated size.

  • Can I print a pattern or save it as a PDF?

Yes: Download PDF on the Pattern tab opens a printable version of the whole pattern. Choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog.

  • Are the toys safe for small children?

Safety eyes and small parts are not safe for children under 3. For them, embroider the eyes and nose instead and sew every piece on firmly.

Crocheting

  • What is crochet mode?

A full-screen view with one round at a time, big text and a stitch counter you tap as you go. Open it with Crochet it on any toy.

  • Where is my progress saved?

Signed in, ticked rounds are saved to your account and show up under On your hook in Projects, on any device. Signed out, they stay in this browser.

  • How do I show the toy I made?

Finish it in crochet mode or press Show yours on the toy’s Made it tab, then add a photo or a video of up to 15 seconds. You decide whether it appears on the toy’s page.

Designing with AI

  • How do I design my own toy?

Open Create, describe your idea and pick how weird it may get. The AI designs the toy with its 3D model and pattern; change it in words until you like it.

  • What is a remix?

A new toy made from an existing one: open any toy, press Remix with AI and describe what to change. The remix links back to the original.

  • Who sees my designs?

Designs are drafts only you see until you publish them. A published toy appears in the catalog with your name; Make private in Projects takes it out again.

  • The AI got something wrong. What now?

It happens: it is a slightly clumsy designer. Describe the fix in the editor, and check the stitch counts as you crochet. Every round ends with the number you should have.

Account

  • Do I need an account?

Not to browse, read patterns or crochet. You need one to save progress across devices, design with AI, publish toys, like, bookmark, comment and post photos.

  • How do I hide my profile?

Turn off Public profile in Settings, Privacy. Your profile page is then visible only to you; toys you published stay in the catalog.

  • How do I delete my account?

Settings, Account, Delete account. It removes your profile, designs and crochets, and it cannot be undone.

Still stuck? Ask in the comments under the toy: people who crocheted it often answer.
