Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.

• Safety eyes with a printed glint 10 mm (on the cookie body): between rounds 22 and 23, 8 st apart (count along round 22: about 4.2 st each side of the centre front line).
• Satin stitch (on the icing muzzle): in nose brown thread, a oval about 7 mm wide and 5 mm tall, horizontal stitches; centred between rounds 1 and 2, on the centre top line.
• Embroidery in icing white thread (on the cookie body) (2, symmetric: the toy's left side is described, the right is its mirror image), straight stitches through: (in round 3, 4.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 7, 8.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 11, 7.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 14, 6 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 17, 10 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 20, 11.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 24, 10.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 27, 7 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 29, 3.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 31, 1 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left) → (in round 32, on the centre front line ).
